Our First Hair Cuts

I have been struggling with the boys' hair.  I love their beautiful curls and blonde highlights.  Despite their cute curls they did look a little unloved and unkept.  I knew I had to do something with them even though I was having a hard time with the mile stones.  There is a very good possiblity that they are my last babies.  I took them to Angela knowing she would have a great idea on what to do with their hair.  I was trying to make it a little easier for every one to tell them apart so I told her to leave Eli's hair a little  longer.  I went shopping and came back to my cute angels and their new hair cuts.  I decided that Ian looked so cute that I had her cut Eli's hair.  Now that their hair is cut it is harder for me to tell them apart so I can only imagine how hard it will be for others.

Coral just got a trim.  It is still cute.  It is hard for her to look anything but cute. 

A Little Misunderstanding

Every Friday Keith's mom picks Drew up from school.  He loves the special treatment.  He gets to stay and play with his friends, go to McDonalds and get a happy meal and sometimes play at McDonalds.  So last Friday he got his happy meal.  He was seating in the back of Shirley's car and asked, "How do you spell foo?"
Shirley responds, "FOO".
Drew comments back, "It can also be spelled 'FU." 
So of course there was a five minute conversation headed by Keith on how to spell "Kung Fu."  Can't wait to see the sequal.

An Old Fashioned Mudbath

With week of rain we get a pond.  Since we have been rearranging the yard and moving dirt we have moved the pond under the play yard.  We have dug a drain so this doesn't happen again.  This might be the last pond in our yard. 

Drew was having great fun playing in the mud. And it didn't stop the boys from joining in with Drew. Coral on the other hand was happy to climb the play yard and slide down the slide and not land in the mud. She is a little girl when it comes to keeping clean. I wish I could say the same for the boys.

My Sweet, Charming Drew

A few days ago Drew decided that he wanted his sister to wear something besides pajamas.  We went to the closet and picked out an outfit.  Coral came out of her room.  Drew was acting a little koi and said something.  I asked him what he said and he said, "nothing."  Then he wispered in my ear, "Coral looks beautiful."  Only Drew could have such feelings of his sister.  He is an amazing little guy.  We love him so much.

L.A. The Natural History Museum

We were suppose to spend the night with a friend that lived in the L.A. area but were unable do to family in town.  I had already told Drew that we would go to the museum so on we went.  I have to say that the babies were amazing.  They slept and talked to us on the two hour drive.  When we got to the museum they loved looking at all of the different displays.  They were all to happy when I would get close enough for them to touch something, anything.  I loved the architecture of the museum.  There is something about all the stone and molding that is amazing.  I also loved the stain glass skylight.  We got the VIP treatment after lunch.  Drew was able to meet his biological aunt Courtney.  She works at the museum and showed us the butterfly exhibit that hadn't opened yet.  The babies loved trying to touch the butterflies.  Drew got to hold one and it landed on his shoulder.

Spring Break at the Aquarium.

I have been pretty much a hermit since the babies were born.  We have gone out here and there with the babies but it has always been to go shopping.  So I decided to be adventurous and let Drew have a somewhat exciting spring break.  So on Tuesday we went to the Stephen Birch Aquarium.  Drew was super excited in only a way that Drew can do.  I wish I could be more like him and get a little more excited about life.  The boys were amazing and loved looking at the fish.  Coral decided that we were going to run on her schedule.  We lasted about an hour and a half. 

Drew took this picture and likes it.  He says that it looks like all the other fish are going to eat the white on in the middle.

Valentine's Day

I wish I could say that I am the mom that does all these amazing things for holidays but I am not.  Maybe some year it will be my goal to celebrate every holiday.  I almost forgot that it was Valentine's Day in the mist of making cakes and cookies for Drew and his class.  I did manage to get Coral in her Valentine's outfit  but it was around 2 pm.  Here are a few of the pictures.  I love that the babies will push each other around on the trick.  And on occasion they do take turns.

Drew's Birthday

As everyone knows Drew is a very important person in our family. Life without Drew would be very dull and boring. He always has a smile and a silly face that makes everyone happy. I don't think I have seen anyone unhappy around Drew. He has a wonderful ability to include everyone around him. We are happy that we get to celebrate his sixth birthday with him.

A Little Trouble

As you can see that there are many different instances where these little ones are into something. We have the two man destruction crew that pull up the molding in the floor. The little ones that find any and every cupboard that isn't locked and pull everything out. And we can't forget the funny faces that are made on a daily basis.

Christmas Fun

We were able to get the house a little bit more decorated this year. I have to say that my manger scene is missing and hasn't been found since the move. And I could tell that the true spirit wasn't quite there with it missing. As you can see the children had a great time with their Christmas presents. The little pink pony was suppose to be for Coral. We had a hard time telling that to the boys. As you can see in the top picture Eli loved the pony along with a hug from Ian (in the green). Coral was content with wrapping paper. Drew loved all of his presents. I haven't seen a present Drew wasn't excited about. Later in the day Keith's family came over and we had a nice dinner.

Christmas Pictures

This was our Christmas pictures that Kristine (Keith's sister) took. It was so nice of her to come and take the pictures of our angels. It is not an easy feat when there are three babies and an active little boy, who loves to be the center of attention. Needless we ended up with some great pictures.

Thanksgiving with the Family

We were so thankful this year that we got to have family from near and far together. Keith's family and my mom, stepdad and sister were able to get together for Thanksgiving. We were able to go to Balboa Park with my family. We even got to meet little Cooper, who was all most the same size as my kids and six months younger. Such a wonderful day filled with love and beauty.

Birthday Fun

If you look at Eli (in green) you notice how his face gets dirtier with every picture. Coral was so proper in eating her piece of cake. She would pick off one pock-a-dot at a time and didn't smash it all over her face or tray. It is so fun to see the difference between them. Coral is walking and Eli and Ian are crawling faster then is believable at the time of their birthday.

Our First Birthday

So this is way past due but this was on November 19th, 2010. I had their cakes made at a bakery and they did a great job. The babies were so excited to have cake. They were more excited about the fire. Coral tried to grab the fire. So Keith held Ian's hands and that worked. So we thought we would do that for Eli. He decided to attack it with his face. Eli got a little burn on his face. It was fun to watch them dig into the cake.
